Who we are
Third Space Music is a non-profit partnership between musicians from the Houston Symphony and the Houston community. Our mission is to support live classical music in Houston, connect Houston Symphony musicians directly to our audience, and contribute to Houston-area non-profit organizations. Our motto is: Connect, Create, Contribute.
The “third space” is a place which is not home and not work. It is a non-hierarchical place where people come willingly to build community in a casual and conversational environment.
At Third Space Music, our musicians volunteer our time and talent to perform musical projects that are important to us; our audience attends our concerts to learn about us as individuals through music and conversation. Together with you, we are building our local community, supporting live classical music, and donating to Houston-area non-profit organizations.

Meet This Year's Venue and Charity:
Buffalo Soldiers National Museum

This year we are proud to partner with Buffalo Soldiers National Museum. We will present four concerts at their beautiful venue, the historic Houston Light Guard Armory. This includes our annual charity concert, where we will raise funds to support their mission of preserving and educating about African-American military history. Please join us for our first concert on September 26, 2021 at 7:30pm. Stay tuned for more details!
Partnership with Steinway
Third Space Music is a proud partner with Steinway Piano Gallery of Houston. Our Steinway Benefit Concert is hosted at Steinway featuring musicians from the Houston Symphony and special guests. We are grateful that Steinway Piano Gallery in River Oaks hosted our broadcast events during our 2020-2021 season.
